askepstein.ai exists to make public records accessible and to support responsible, evidence-based investigation. These guidelines ensure the community remains a credible research resource.
1. What This Platform Is
- A research tool for analysing publicly available records
- A place to share evidence-based analysis with source citations
- A collaborative space for mapping verified connections from court documents, flight logs, and official releases
2. What This Platform Is NOT
- A platform for accusations or allegations against named individuals without sourced evidence
- A tool for harassment, doxing, or vigilante justice
- A conspiracy theory forum — claims must be sourced to public records
- A replacement for law enforcement or the judicial system
3. Content Standards
All user-submitted content (stories, research, comments, board nodes) must:
- Be evidence-based: Claims about individuals must cite specific public records (court filings, depositions, FOIA releases, etc.)
- Use careful language: Use "alleged", "according to [source]", "court documents state" rather than presenting allegations as established facts
- Distinguish fact from analysis: Clearly separate verified public-record facts from personal analysis or interpretation
- Respect legal proceedings: Do not publish content that could prejudice active legal proceedings
4. Prohibited Content
The following content will be removed immediately:
- Unsourced accusations: Naming individuals in criminal allegations without citing specific public records
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM): Zero tolerance. This applies to all content on the platform including evidence media files. If you identify potential CSAM in any evidence file, report immediately using the "Report Content" button or email abuse@askepstein.ai. We will remove the file, report to NCMEC (National Center for Missing & Exploited Children), and cooperate with law enforcement.
- Doxing: Publishing private information (addresses, phone numbers, family details) of any person
- Harassment & threats: Targeted harassment, threats of violence, or calls to action against individuals
- Conspiracy theories: Claims not grounded in verifiable public records
- Spam & self-promotion: Commercial spam, affiliate links, or unrelated self-promotion
- Impersonation: Pretending to be another community member, public figure, or authority
- Illegal content: Content that violates applicable law
5. Evidence Media — Prohibited Uses
The following uses of evidence media files are strictly prohibited:
- Screen recording for redistribution: Capturing and redistributing media content outside the context of this research platform
- Creating derivative content that identifies victims: Using media files to create content (clips, screenshots, compilations) that identifies or could lead to the identification of victims
- Facial recognition or identity extraction: Using automated tools to identify individuals depicted in evidence media
- Harassment or intimidation: Using media content to harass, intimidate, or contact any person depicted in evidence files
- Monetization: Using evidence media files for commercial purposes, including monetized social media content
6. Reporting Content
If you see content that violates this policy, use the Report button on any story, research item, or comment. Reports are reviewed by moderators. Repeated violations result in account suspension.
For urgent concerns (CSAM, credible threats), email abuse@askepstein.ai immediately.
7. Enforcement
- First violation: Content removed with warning
- Second violation: Temporary posting restriction
- Repeated/severe violations: Permanent account suspension
- Egregious violations: Immediate ban and referral to law enforcement if applicable
8. AI Content
Responses from the AI assistant are machine-generated and may contain errors. AI responses are clearly labelled. Users should not copy AI responses into stories or research without independent verification and proper attribution.
9. Best Practices
- Always link to source documents when making claims
- Use the evidence links feature on research submissions
- Engage respectfully in comments — critique ideas, not people
- Upvote well-sourced content to help surface quality research
- Add confidence levels when contributing to the connection board
